Indeed, painting your wall for a better projection result is a chore... It also cost some money which you cannot carry around if you move. I have gotten used now to my new wall and I guess I have gained some clarity but I started from projecting on a normal painted wall and the result was not bad either. Conclusion, if you have about 200$ you can spend, go for it... If you are short in cash or expect a dramatic change, skip it...
