What to Look for in an LCD Projector – Part 2

Weight – again, the weight of the projector lamp will be a personal thing depending on what you intend to do with your projector lamp. For example, if your projector lamp is going to be for presentations and ones that you will be traveling to do and will need to take your LCD projector lamp to, then a lighter one will evidently be better. Increasingly, there are many projector lamps that are much lighter in weight, which is fantastic if you are having to transport your projector lamp from place to place. However, do not forget that the lighter the projector lamp, the more expensive they will generally be.

Lamp life – when looking for your projector, you should also take into consideration just how much you intend to use it, as the lamp life will play an important role in keeping costs low, particularly if you are going to be using your project lamp frequently. If a lamp has around 2000 hour's lamp life, this is fantastic. Some projectors will allow you to run them in an eco-mode which will extend the life of your project lamp. Connectivity – obviously your LCD projector will be connected to your computer; but it is important to define whether it will only be the one computer you will be connecting your LCD projector lamp to. If not, you may need different cables to connect to – particularly if you are traveling around with your projector but aren't always carrying your computer around too. You should also ensure that your LCD project has the option of different ports so that it will connect to all different types of electronics, e.g. computers, videos and so on, and able to be connected to more than one and once.
