DVI-D to VGA: Convert a digital video signal to analog for use with VGA display devices

A device creating a revolution in the field of digital to analog signal conversion is the DVI-D to VGA Converter. This product allows a computers’ DVI-D signal to be changed to analog so that older display devices without DVI-D, such as a CRT monitor, can be connected to the digital source easily and conveniently. HDCP compliant, this device has a default video resolution of 1280 x 1024, but is capable of supporting a range of resolutions from 800 x 600 up to 1920 x 1200.

Requiring no external power supply for most applications, these devices are equipped with a single link DVI-D input connector and a VGA 15 pin HD male output connector. This unit has a DVI-D and VGA bandwidth of 1.6 GHz and 165 MHz respectively, with a frequency bandwidth of 165 MHz. This device works on a simple plug and play rule by converting signals from DVI-D to VGA. Consisting of two sides, one side containing a female DVI connector and the other containing a male VGA connector, the female DVI connector of the adapter is plugged into the male DVI connector on the computer's video card. Once the connections are secured, the female end of the VGA cable from the monitor is attached to the male end of the converter which then acts as a translator, converting the DVI signals sent from the computer into VGA signals that can be understood and displayed by the monitor.

This is how the conversion between digital and analog signals works. The DVI-D to VGA converter has a power consumption of .54 Watts, is compliant with HDCP, CE, FCC and RoHS regulations, and is compatible with any single link DVI-D video device and VGA display or projector. This DVI-D to VGA device is an inexpensive alternative for consumers who want to extend the life of their existing VGA monitors and can be used in a wide array of applications.
