by Claude Downey from on 2010-05-23
This is a very nice 125" screen. Screen come down a bit slow but is very quiet. The screen as started curling on both sides but its not distracting. Other then that I'm very happy. I was a nice upgrade in pq over my wall :).

Love It!

by L. Trudell from Bay City, MI on 2010-01-05
We purchased this screen for our basement theater and absolutely love it. The picture quality is great and it doesnt have to be that dark in the room to see the picture well. It is a little slower than I thought it would be to open and close, but overall I would strongly recommend this screen.

Bad luck, I guess

by Brian Baird from Richmond, VA on 2009-05-25
In brief, I just lost the use of the third one of these. The first two basically never worked; it's really easy for these to be damaged in shipment (big dent on one). The third one, however, I installed in January '09 and it worked fine . . . until May. Today, it failed to respond to the remote - it's dead now, just like the first two. I know from efforts with the first two that there are no user-serviceable parts, so it's a write-off. Since there's no way to lower the screen manually, I can't even do that. Very disappointing; I won't be ordering another.

Works with everything

by Dale Skutt from Arizona on 2008-11-25
What the title refers to is the fact that whenever operating a remote, any remote, there is a miniscule chance that it will also activate the screen, causing it to rise. (I have noted the effect from three different remotes) It happens rarely enough that it is humorous, but it is a flaw that should be rectified. Otherwise, the product fulfills its purpose well enough, although a couple of ripples in the top corners are a bit annoying when there is ambient light.

I was worried about my purchase but overall I have no regrets. I had a professional put it together for me during my home theater setup so I am not sure if it would have been easy for me (being quite handy). We have been enjoying lot of movies on this screen and have had it for about 1.5years now it has been doing well so far.

Nice Screen

by Rick Stenftenagel from on 2009-12-15
The screen looked very nice and did what we needed it to do. However this screen really lacks in height. We had to use ours on top of tables in a room size of 20 x 20. Make sure to get some sort of desk or table to lift it up.

Use screen for my business

by A. Hallman from Alabama on 2009-10-03
I bring this screen to meetings with me. I must carry the screen from parking garages - through lobbies - in the elevator - to the conference room. The previous screen I used for presentations was VERY heavy. This screen is extremely light, easy to carry and easy to assemble. I highly recommended this screen.

Pull up projector screen

by Milton C. Taylor from Roanoke, Va on 2009-06-03
I am happy with my screen. It doesn't look portable yet it as porttable as a tripod style screen. It has quality construction with a good manufacturer should you ever need any parts replaced. The 80 inch screen fits into my SUV just fine but appears to large for even a full size car.

One person setup with the frame and screen was easy. Mounting to the wall took some help but also was very easy. Frame is strong and looks great, I haven't even set up my projector yet and was still impressed with the screen.

Great screen for the price

by Warren W. Smith from on 2010-09-09
I ordered the screen from Amazon and being a Prime member it was delivered promptly within the 2-day shipping agreement. The packaging was well done, with extra thick cardboard "bumpers" that ran the whole length of the box on all 4 edges. This was one of my biggest concerns as I had read several other reviews of various screens where the screen arrived damaged as it is so long and easy to be banged around. There was plenty of Styrofoam inside to keep the screen tightly packed as well as the various parts and pieces inside.I took my time in properly finding the ideal height and level to hang the screen in proper perspective to where the projector is ceiling mounted. I agree with some of the other reviewers in that there is a bit of a strong odor when the screen is first extended down. Being as my home theater room has no windows I just left the screen down for a couple of days and ran a fan to help blow the smell out of the room and it seems to be fine now.The screen is very quiet when going up/down and is very smooth. I don't know if I would call it slow, but it does take a approx 30 seconds to extend/retract. This isn't a problem for me as it takes almost as long for my projector to power up to the ready state and get all my other home theater components ready to use. The screen is very clear and the picture quality is great. I have tried it with both the room lights on and off, and obviously it is better with the lights off, but is watchable with them on as well. I have it paired with the Optoma HD20 projector and both are excellent. With the couches sitting about 12 to 14 feet back, the picture size is perfect without having to move your head to view the whole screen.Like other reviewers, I mounted the cord and plugged it into an outlet I ran into the ceiling with the control box right next to the left side of the screen housing. I plan to hang a curtain above the screen with the width of the curtain cut to hang just low enough to cover the screen housing and the sides draping down to give an extra darkness perspective on the sides and some sound dampening. I also hung my center speaker from the surround side just above the screen housing as the sound was a bit muffled being behind the screen and also pushed the screen too far from the wall.Over all, I am pleased with the screen and would recommend it.

Excellent screen for a first-time projector owner

by sempercliff from on 2010-08-12
I have this screen paired with an Optoma HD20 and it looks amazing. Prepare to wow your friends and family when this quietly whirs down and turns your room into a movie theater. The image quality is excellent, with no hot spots and a very wide viewing angle. Black level is also quite good; while you might be able to achieve a slightly better image with more expensive screens, as others have noted you are also typically much more limited in your projector placement and viewing angle.Installation is pretty painless, although more than likely it will take a trip to the hardware store for your particular situation. I would like to point out the importance of mounting this to a wall stud or ceiling joist, as it is quite heavy and I wouldn't trust toggle bolts in drywall for something like this. I mounted mine to the ceiling, but the width of the screen case did not line up exactly with the floor joists. To accommodate this situation, I used 1/4" lag screws to install two 1x8x18" pieces of wood to the floor joists, and then installed eyebolts into those pieces of wood so that they lined up with the D-rings on the screen case. The manual to the screen is somewhat lacking, and the wiring diagram is indeed listed incorrectly. The manual has the polarity for the 12v projector trigger listed reversed; thankfully, it didn't seem to damage anything when I initially wired it backwards. So just to make it absolutely clear if you're wiring up the 12v trigger, the positive lead off the projector needs to be wired to the green wire coming off the cable supplied with the screen, and the negative lead off the projector needs to be wired to the red wire coming off the cable supplied with the screen. This issue is so minor that considering the quality/price of this screen it is still definitely 5 stars.

Perfect for HD Movies

by Movie Buff from on 2010-08-06
When I Purchased a new screen projector that plays blue ray crystal clear movies for my home theater room the final overall quality still seemed a little grainy. I paid $100 for Best Buys Geek Swuad to help. He stated that it was my screen not my new projector that was the issue. After receiving their recommendations, I found the 106" Accuscreen to be the perfect match for a fraction of the price. After I switched out screens, I couldn't be happier! The vivid colors and crystal clear images are exactly what every movie buff like me deserves.

Very Very pleased!

by Ruffers from on 2010-06-25
Product:800003 - 106" HDTV Electric screen + Optoma HD20I had my basement finished and I decided to install a home theater, so I did a lot of online research into screens and equipment. I found nothing but glowing reviews for the Accuscreens range so I looked around and purchased from Amazon.I could not find another projection screen that had such good reviews for quality, features and price.Pros: * Solid design and build * Quite motor * Both IR and RF remotes + controls on the main control box and a nice looking wall control plate. * Projector trigger connection to enable the screen to automatically lower and raise whenever the projector switches on or off. * Multiple hanging options, flush, wall bracket or ceiling hooks. * Low gain and durable screen surface that can be easily cleaned.Cons: * Not really a Con, but I did have a small amount of confusion with the supplied install doc, where by the electrical diagram differed slightly to the print on the control circuit board itself, but a couple of emails to Accuscreen cleared my confusion. * Also it would be nice to have real pictures in the doc instead of line drawings. All being said: I think I have made an excellent purchase and the picture looks superb on this screen. The questions during installation were quickly and efficiently answered by the Accuscreen support staff who did a great job in helping me set up my first electric projector screen. I will definitely recommend this brand to anyone.

Great screen, super price

by James C. Kelley from PA, USA on 2010-03-15
I just installed this screen and am very pleased with it. The shipping box was more than ample, the white screen housing was flawless and it was shipped fast.Regarding the power cord, there is maybe an 8 ft length of cord, a remote/connection box and then another 6 or 8 ft. of additional cord with a grounded, 3 wire plug. It is important to point out that the screen is ready to use out of the box with no wiring required other than plugging into an outlet. There are two hooks on the casing for very quick installation from the ceiling and screw slots for wall installation. You will likely need to spend a couple bucks for additional hooks/screws/fasteners to accommodate your particular situation. The box in the middle of the cord allows hooking up the included white wall control with wire if you wish (flush mount to most any flat surface with included sticky tape back). If your projector is so equipped there is also a jack on the screen control box for inputting 12 volt universal control (l-o-n-g wire included!) that will lower the screen when your projector is turned on and raise the screen when the projector is turned off - very slick! The motor is whisper quiet and allows screen limits to be adjusted in both the up and down stop position if you wish to change the factory limits - a very important feature.Besides the included wall screen control with UP, DOWN, STOP buttons, there are TWO remotes! Both are identical except one is IR (line of sight) and one is UHF for through the wall screen control. I simply use the UHF remote and hid the power cable and control box for an invisible installation. I did notice a faint smell the first time I unrolled the screen. No smell after a day or two though! How's it look? The screen is bright, no hots spots, with an extremely flat surface when rolled down. The picture quality is superb! We had some folks over for dinner, sat em down afterwards and I lowered this huge, monster screen like an invasion from the ceiling. There was silence in the room at first. Then some sighs, then some remarks as the DVD started playing a movie on a 100"+ diagonal screen with Bose 5.1 audio and an additional JBL 250 watt subwoofer. "Wow", "amazing", "oooh - my - gawd", and other remarks that cannot be repeated here were heard. And then - - silence again with all eyes glued to the mammoth screen. What's the saying? We were all "dumbed with amazement bordering on stupification". Size does matter folks and this screen is home theater on steroids!
